THE RIVIERA HOTEL OPEN WEEKEND 26 & 27 MAY 2012

The Riviera Hotel will be open to welcome guests this weekend to its first Open Weekend on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May from 10am – 5pm.
Hotel staff will be welcoming guests to the hotel and offering free escorted tours of the newly refurbished guest bedrooms. The hotel now has 98 ensuite bedrooms, during the £3.5 million refurbishment the original 115 bedrooms have been redesigned to provide rooms which are more spacious, light and comfortable for guests. The rooms have been designed by a team of top interior designers based in Saudi and all fixtures and fittings have been commissioned directly from overseas. All 98 bedrooms have been completely renovated with new flat screen TVs, handpainted canvases and exclusive furnishings . Guests can take advantage of the opening offer of £79 for a double room for bed and breakfast (offer closes 30 June 2012).

The newly refurbished Riviera Suite Ballroom and attractive Bay View Room will be open for guests to view and experience how the rooms will look when hired for functions, celebrations and weddings. Amy O’Beirne, from the Events Team said “ The Events team will be on hand to give expert advice and guidance to guests who are organising a special event including Weddings and Christmas Parties! We have already taken many bookings for this Xmas”
The Riviera Hotel also has a brand new Reception and Lounge area, plus the new “Bowleaze Restaurant” which can seat up to 130 people. The Restaurant Menu includes fresh, first class local produce at affordable prices to both residents and the general public. The extensive Bar area is open all day, every day for coffee, lunch and evening meals. As a special opening offer, diners can enjoy a bottle of complimentary wine when eating in the Bowleaze Restaurant (subject to terms and conditions).

The refurbished Leisure Suite has a 14 metre indoor swimming pool and a large 18 metre heated outside pool overlooking Weymouth Bay which is due to reopen at the beginning of June. The hotel gym has first class gym equipment, a work out suite, and fitness instructors on hand. Sauna and Steam room plus Swedish /Deep Tissue therapy is also available. Memberships are available for guests and members of the public.
The Rivieria Hotel hosted its first wedding in April and hosted the Wessex FM Local Hero Awards and the Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner in May. During the Summer the hotel will provide accommodation to many Olympic visitors, however the facilities will remain open to day visitors and local guests.

The Riviera Hotel also provides extensive Business Conference facilities, from a simple coffee meeting to full corporate hospitality services, the hotel can accommodate up to 300 delegates in one of its 3 function areas.
